Last week of term

Last week of term before the Easter holidays, so we painted Easter eggs!

Stories and characters

We have finished our project looking at telling stories without words.  This is Little Red Ridinghood, Goldilocks and the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears and the Little Matchgirl.

Telling Stories

 We have been learning to tell stories without using words.  Firstly we looked at what something looked like from different views, a birds eye view, normal view and worms view.

And then everyone had a go at drawing some simple instructions for a martian!  Here are instructions on how to make a sandwich and a cup of hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows.

Finishing our building project

In the art class we have nearly finished our project looking at buildings.  Painting the modroc shapes is not easy and very careful work is needed to translate the designs into 3D shapes.

The animals completed!

Second day of workshop

On the second session we layered our models with modroc, which was a lot of work.  The animals  really started to take shape.  We then thought about what colours we were going to paint them, and did some drawing to help us work it out.
