Papier Mache bowls

Everyone has now made three bowls using papier mache of newspaper strips and very diluted PVA.  Next week everyone will start to paint them with their own designs.  In the designs we have been thinking about design elements that will connect the three bowls.

First week of term

First week back for the art class and we are making papier mache bowls.  Everyone will be designing their own set of 3 stacking bowls, but first we have to make them.  Here is the start of the paper and glue process.

Easter Mosaic Workshop

During the Easter holidays I ran a mosaic workshop.  The theme was trees.  Here is some of the work, including a money tree!!  Everyone designed their own tree, and cut and lay the tiles.
