Finishing our building project
In the art class we have nearly finished our project looking at buildings. Painting the modroc shapes is not easy and very careful work is needed to translate the designs into 3D shapes.

Second day of workshop
On the second session we layered our models with modroc, which was a lot of work. The animals really started to take shape. We then thought about what colours we were going to paint them, and did some drawing to help us work it out.
Half term workshop
In the half term we had lots of fun making animals. Firstly, everyone made a drawing, and from that we decided which recycled materials would work best for our animal shape. Here is a rhinoceros, a unicorn and two penguins!

Animal drawings
Each week we start the session drawing. This week we have been drawing animals, using pieces of willow dipped in ink. This makes some of us a little nervous as it means we can't rub anything out! But everyone produced lovely drawings, which reminded me of cave drawings.
The rest of the session was spent starting to paint our buildings. Photos to follow when they are finished.
