Three Dimensional Letters

We are making three dimensional letters using card and disposable plastic cups.  We covered them with gummed brown paper tape which was tricky to begin with but everyone mastered it with practice.

Patterns

We have been looking at different ways of making patterns.

Drawing

This term we are looking at pattern.  In our drawing we looked at different objects and exploring the pattern and shapes we found in them.  

The second summer workshop

Mobiles

In the first of the summers workshops we have been making mobiles.  Lots of beautiful birds, painted, collaged and sculpted in wire.

Quilling

Our final project of the term was having a go at quilling.  The art of decorating with curled paper.
Here is a picture frame, a lot of work but worth the effort!

Landscape Mosaics

Here are some of the mosaics that the classes made of their landscape drawings.

Landscape project

In the art class we are starting a new landscape project.  Everyone produced their own landscape picture using pastels.  We will be turning these into mosaics, starting next week.

Experimenting with drawing.

Every week in the art class we start with some drawing.  For the past couple of weeks we have been experimenting with all drawing on the same picture using different coloured felt tip pens.

And combining different media in the same picture.  These examples have biro, felt tip pen and charcoal.  It really loosens everyone up, and gives us all confidence.
